Sadiq Khan is proud to announce Britain’s new “Hate Crime Hub”, a specialist police unit that will be working to identify and investigate people who say mean things online.
The new initiative will cost the British taxpayer £1.7 million, and I’m obviously concerned about what it means for us. We’ve seen people throughout Europe being prosecuted for merely “liking” social media posts, so what’s going to happen to us in Britain when we speak out about the Muslim gang rape epidemic? Are we all going to prison?
It’s amazing that, in a country where acid attacks are as common as in Bangladesh, our authorities are more concerned about what people say on the Internet. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think free speech is worth losing.
